Peer Support Sessions for Women

The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately increased levels of stress and anxiety among women — moms and caregivers have been deeply affected. Sixty percent of women say the pandemic has had a negative impact on their stress level, and nearly half say they are experiencing significantly/somewhat more stress compared to this time last year.

From May 17 to 21, Aetna is holding special sessions of “Here 4 U” — free online peer support sessions offering a safe place for conversations with other women. It’s a chance to talk openly about the impact of COVID-19 on women’s mental and emotional well-being with peers and learn more about mental health support.

Any woman above the age of 18 can register. Aetna will also offer sessions dedicated to Black women, mothers and mothers of children with special needs. Sessions will last an hour, and the conversation will be led by experts in mental and emotional well-being. Visit Aetna's website to view the schedule and sign up for a general or dedicated session.
