Your first year in a new role can be challenging as you learn the institution's unique language and culture, establish a relationship with your supervisor and colleagues and learn the duties of your job. Fortunately, there are resources and strategies to help you successfully transition to your role on campus.

Year One workshops through the Office of Human Resources are designed to welcome you to the university and assist you in your transition to your new role. Visit Professional Development Opportunities to find an upcoming program or submit a program request.

Training is available for various university systems.

The Learning Portfolio, available through the FocusU learning management system, allows you to set learning goals and track your progress.

Opportunities for Involvement include volunteer activities and campus organizations.
