Designing Future Computing Hardware with New Technologies, Circuits, and Architectures

NEXUS: Nanoelectronics EXpeditions for Ubiquitous Systems

Our research explores cross-stack advances in semiconductor technologies, heterogeneous integration, circuit design, and computer architecture for large improvements in computing energy efficiency and throughput. In particular, we focus on three different themes:

3D Integration: Developing new technology, design, and circuit innovations to enable next-generation 3D-integrated computing systems.

Technology–Architecture Co-Design: Building frameworks that translate application performance requirements into hardware architectures and technology targets.

Domain-Specific Accelerators: Creating specialized hardware accelerators to efficiently address compute- and data-intensive workloads.
