Hiring Manager Information

When your temporary employee arrives:

  • Provide a designated work space and computer.
  • Orient the employee around the office and introduce them to others with whom they will be working.
  • Designate someone they will report to each day and advise them about who will sign their time-card. Employees will submit signed time-cards to TES for processing.
  • Establish any alternate work schedules that may be necessary. TES employees are aware of the university's normal university business hours, and the possibility that different hours may be required. But you should inform them of the specific schedule they should keep, including break periods. Note that TES employees are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 per week, under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
