Graduating senior Nofe Al-Suwaidi returns the 2011 class tile to G. Richard Tucker, interim dean of Carnegie Mellon Qatar, during the graduation ceremony on the Qatar campus on May 2. Classes receive the tile during their freshman convocation as a symbol of unity and return the tile upon graduation to be inlaid in Carnegie Mellon’s building. Al-Suwaidi, a business administration major, was the 2011 class speaker. She spoke about how Qatari women have emerged as leaders and role models in contemporary society.
