The Piper, published by the Internal Communications team of the University Communications & Marketing Division, keeps Carnegie Mellon staff, faculty and students informed about what's happening at CMU. The Piper newsletter is distributed via email every Thursday during the school year, except over breaks, and publishes biweekly in June and July. New employees and students are automatically added to the mailing list.

Submit a Suggestion for The Piper

If you have news story or an announcement you'd like to suggest to The Piper, please review the Piper Suggestion Guidelines first. If your item meets the guidelines, email it to piperweekly@andrew.cmu.edu no later than 2 p.m. the Monday prior to the issue date (earlier is better). Please note that Piper submissions should be short and include a link to a news story, web page or social media post for more information.

Events should be submitted to the CMU Events Calendar via the online submission form (Andrew login required) in order to be considered for inclusion in the Events section of The Piper newsletter.
