CMU President Congratulates Rep. Doyle on New Subcommittee Leadership Role

Carnegie Mellon University President Subra Suresh congratulates Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) on his new leadership role in the 115th Congress.

"Congressman Doyle shares a passion with us at Carnegie Mellon for empowering people with technology," Suresh said.

"I am so pleased that he has been tapped as ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Communications and Technology in the new Congress.

"His experience and expertise in developing major innovation policy, his mastery of complex technological issues, and his keen understanding of the ways innovation can catalyze new economic opportunity for our region and the nation, make him ideally suited to take on this new role as the leading Democrat on this powerful subcommittee.

"We at CMU have been fortunate to have such a strong and unwavering advocate for, and partner in, the advancement of technological innovation as our representative in Congress. I congratulate him and look forward to continuing to work with him in this exciting new role."
