PITTSBURGH—Future Tenant, an experimental downtown Pittsburgh art space managed by Carnegie Mellon University students, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a fundraiser 7 p.m. on Friday, March 30 that expands its own boundaries to Bakery Square.

Located in the midst of Pittsburgh's Cultural District at 819 Penn Avenue, Future Tenant has provided a setting for more than 100 emerging artists and performers to explore the limits of the creative expression, presentation and interpretation of various art forms. Future Tenant also offers a guest curator program, performance events, a residency series and several partnerships with local schools and colleges.

Founded in 2002, Future Tenant is a joint project of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Carnegie Mellon's College of Fine Arts, and the Master of Arts Management program at Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College.

Future Tenant is partnering with Bakery Square and CMU's School of Art to hold Future Tenant's 10th Birthday Party in the first floor of the Bakery Square complex. First- and second-year Master's of Fine Arts students will exhibit their creative art works in an exhibition titled "Extra Fancy."
