Partners
Metro21 projects impact communities across the region, while inspiring global impact through innovation. This work could not be done without our collaborators — our deployment partners — who share our common goal to improve quality of life by solving real-world problems. Partner with us!
“Our partners come from private, public and nonprofit sectors to help us gain provide diverse and innovative solutions that take into account the not just the technology, but also the policy and most importantly, the people.” — Ramayya Krishnan, Dean, Heinz College
Funding Partners
Our funding partners make our work possible. Together, we collaborate on projects that directly help people — like our food delivery initiative that served 8,500 meals a month to families in need.
Regional Partners
Our regional partners ensure that our projects have a direct impact on the many communities that make up the Greater Pittsburgh area. Carnegie Mellon University works closely with the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County and other government agencies, several of which have Memorandums of Understanding with Metro21, to incubate a range of technological systems that will improve safety, enhance mobility, promote efficiency and address pollution.
Institutional & Intercollegiate Partners
Our partners exist across industries, sectors and spheres — which is how we address the diverse challenges that people face in metropolitan and rural communities.
