Meet The HUB Staff
The HUB staff provide enrollment and financial-related services and support to Carnegie Mellon's students and families. Working alongside their colleagues in the Student Financial Aid Office, Student Accounts Office and University Registrar's Office, The HUB staff are the front-facing unit for Enrollment Services.
Director of The HUB & Associate Director of Enrollment Services
In her role as Director of The HUB, Maggie Sikora and her team are fully committed to student success and persistence, and the work of The HUB aims to constantly reflect that commitment. As Associate Director of Enrollment Services, Maggie supports the division's work developing strategic initiatives related to areas impacting student and family services, retention and persistence, and DEI.
Associate Director of The HUB
As the liaison in The HUB for the College of Engineering (CIT), including BMD, CHE, ECE, EPP, ETIM, INI, MEG, MSE, CIT Self-Designed, CIT Undeclared Undergraduates, and for the Drama program in the College of Fine Arts, Melissa Skasik is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. In her role as Associate Director of The HUB, Melissa supports the director with strategic initiatives and operations. Melissa joined the Carnegie Mellon community in August 2008. Assistant Directors of The HUB
As the liaison in The HUB for the Dietrich College for Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science, Erika Tatrai is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Erika joined The HUB in August 2018 and most recently served as a Graduate Enrollment Manager at the University of Pittsburgh. Erika earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 and a master's degree in Higher Education Management in 2017, both from the University of Pittsburgh. As the liaison in The HUB for Heinz College, Tepper School of Business, Mellon College of Science, the Architecture, and the Design and Art programs in the College of Fine Arts, Carey Zehnder is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Enrollment Management Specialist
As an Enrollment Management Specialist, Triyanna's role in The HUB is broad, serving as a back-up to the student services specialists and working alongside the assistant directors on strategic student persistence and retention initiatives. She also helps to manage special programs and ensures internal communication goals are met. Triyanna serves as the liaison for the Music program in the College of Fine Arts, the Statistics program within the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, interdisciplinary majors (including the Entertainment Technology Center), as well as student defined and undeclared majors, and is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Prior to her current position and as a temporary employment services colleague, Triyanna served in many different roles within Enrollment Services. She was a student services specialist in The HUB, a program coordinator for Summer Studies, and a communication assistant for the division. Student Services Specialists
As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Emily Ball works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In her current role, Emily assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Emily joined The HUB in January 2019. Emily brings a breadth of experience in higher education to The HUB, including her most recent position as an evaluator for the San Diego Community College District, as well as her previous role as an academic advisor for the College of Charleston. Emily received her bachelor of arts in English from East Tennessee State University, her “home” state, where she had the pleasure of spending many days hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Andrew "Drew" Karp
As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Drew works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In his current role, Drew assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Drew joined The HUB as a temporary employment services colleague in March 2021. He graduated from Grove City College with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, where he served as the chapter Vice President for the Intervarsity Missions Fellowship. Drew was recently the assistant manager at Waterworks Cinema and has also worked as a freelance writer. Drew enjoys playing the guitar and violin, and he also writes music.
