Assistant Directors of The HUB

Melissa Skasik

As the liaison in The HUB for the College of Engineering (CIT), including BMD, CHE, ECE, EPP, ETIM, INI, MEG, MSE, CIT Self-Designed, CIT Undeclared Undergraduates, and for the Drama and Music programs in the College of Fine Arts, Melissa Skasik is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Erika Tatrai

As the liaison in The HUB for the Dietrich College for Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science, as well as for student defined and undeclared majors, Erika Tatrai is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Erika joined The HUB in August 2018 and most recently served as a Graduate Enrollment Manager at the University of Pittsburgh. Erika earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 and a master's degree in Higher Education Management in 2017, both from the University of Pittsburgh. Carey Zehnder

As the liaison in The HUB for Heinz College, Tepper School of Business, Mellon College of Science, the Architecture, Design and Art programs in the College of Fine Arts, and interdisciplinary majors (including the Entertainment Technology Center), Carey Zehnder is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Triyanna Davoren

As an Interim Assistant Director in The HUB, Triyanna is currently handling liaison duties for the Dietrich College for Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science, as well as for student defined and undeclared majors. Triyanna is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Prior to her current position and as a temporary employment services colleague, Triyanna served in many different roles within Enrollment Services. She was a student services specialist in The HUB, a program coordinator for Summer Studies, and a communication assistant for the division. Student Services Specialists

Emily Ball

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Emily Ball works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In her current role, Emily assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Emily joined The HUB in January 2019. Emily brings a breadth of experience in higher education to The HUB, including her most recent position as an evaluator for the San Diego Community College District, as well as her previous role as an academic advisor for the College of Charleston.  Emily received her bachelor of arts in English from East Tennessee State University, her “home” state, where she had the pleasure of spending many days hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Emily may be reached by email at thehub@andrew.cmu.edu.

ShiouWeei Ong

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, ShiouWeei works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In her current role, ShiouWeei assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. ShiouWeei, who joined The HUB in August 2019, recently completed her bachelor’s degree in international relations, along with a business certificate, at Duquesne University. While at Duquesne, ShiouWeei worked as a student assistant in the Center for Global Engagement, and also served as co-director of International Orientation while in that role.  ShiouWeei was also employed by Global WordSmiths, where she served as an interpreter to clients for partner organizations.  ShiouWeei is trilingual, speaking English, Mandarin and Malay. She may be reached by email at thehub@andrew.cmu.edu.

Andrew "Drew" Karp

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Drew works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In his current role, Drew assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Drew joined The HUB as a temporary employment services colleague in March 2021. He graduated from Grove City College with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, where he served as the chapter Vice President for the Intervarsity Missions Fellowship. Drew was recently the assistant manager at Waterworks Cinema and has also worked as a freelance writer. Drew enjoys playing the guitar and violin, and he also writes music. Lynda Wrenn

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Lynda works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In her current role, Lynda assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Lynda joined The HUB as a temporary employment services colleague in March 2021. She recently served as a school board director for Pittsburgh Public Schools (2015-2019), and also has experience as a project manager and research coordinator. Lynda started her career in higher education in the President’s office at Harvard’s Radcliffe College. She received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Regis College and a master's degree in Elementary Education from Chatham.  Lynda likes to spend her free time walking and mountain biking on park trails.
