Maxwell Li finalist for Best Student Presentation Award

Based on his presentation, AB-02. In situ Lorentz microscopy study of domain wall Skyrmions, MSE PhD candidate, Maxwell Li, has been selected as a finalist for the Best Student Presentation Award for Intermag 2020. The yearly Intermag conference was scheduled to be held in Montréal, Canada but was subsequently cancelled by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Despite the ability to hold the conference in person, the presentation and papers yielded a placement for Li and four other students who submitted remotely from institutions throughout the globe. 


The IEEE Magnetics Society Best Student Presentation Award recognizes and encourages excellence in graduate studies in the field of magnetism. There is a US$1,500 prize and certificate for the winner and US$250 prize and certificate for the remaining finalists.
