Rollett Group wins TMS poster competition

The 2018 TMS Technical Division Student Poster Contest was held at the March conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Students were invited to submit posters of their research related to each of the five TMS technical divisions: Extraction & Processing, Functional Materials, Light Metals, Materials Processing & Manufacturing, and Structural Materials. In the category of: Coupling Experiments and Modeling to Understand Plasticity and Failure, Third Place Prize was awarded to MSE's team of Rachel Lim, Yufeng Shen, Christopher Kantos, He Liu, Robert Suter and Professor Anthony Rollett. Their presentation: Strain Field Mapping and Modeling Around Laser-induced Keyhold Defects in Ti-7Al under Cyclic Loading.
