Hecht Placed 3rd in AISTech Poster Competition

MSE-PhD student, Matthew Hecht won third place in the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AISTech) 2016 Graduate Student Poster Contest. This contest was open to all full-time students pursuing a graduate degree and registered to attend AISTech 2016 held in Pittsburgh, PA. AISTech 2016 is a three-day technical conference covering all aspects of ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling and finishing processes, and the various engineering, equipment and process technologies in today’s steel production. Matt is co-advised by Prof. Yoosuf Picard and Prof. Bryan Webler, and his poster was entitled, “Coarsening of Cementite in 2C─4Cr Ultrahigh Carbon Steel
