Vanessa Dionicio is a master's student in the Global Communication & Applied Translation program. As a New York born Dominican-American daughter of immigrants, she understands the power and importance of language and translation. That is why after receiving her bachelor's in Russian from Penn State University, she wanted to continue her studies and help contribute to the diverse field of language study through learning, teaching and research. Alongside studying Russian, Vanessa also studied Korean and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
