Exchange: Mobile Devices
IMPORTANT: Computing Services plans to block mobile app access from Outlook (previously Acompli) and CloudMagic apps to the Exchange Server. The decision to block these applications is due to security and privacy concerns: specifically, unauthorized password sharing and storage of emails by a third party for indexing outside of the Computing Services Exchange Server. Access to the Exchange Server from these mobile apps will be blocked on Friday, February 13th.

What is ActiveSync?
ActiveSync allows you to synchronize email, calendar, tasks and contacts between your mobile device and your desktop/laptop computer. It is the preferred synchronization method for Exchange.

iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (iOS 4.x)
Follow these steps to configure ActiveSync on an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (iOS 4.x). Through the configuration process, you will select which data (email, calendar, etc.) that you wish to synchronize.
Unfortunately, it is not practical to provide detailed configuration steps for the all of the mobile devices and models that exist. The general ActiveSync steps provide the basic information you need to synchronize Exchange with your mobile device through ActiveSync.
