Local Experiences with the Global: Pittsburgh Non-Governmental Organizations Working Across Borders

4:30-6:00 PM

Baker Hall 154R

Please join Carnegie Mellon's Global Studies program for a roundtable conversation to introduce you to local organizations that work across geopolitical, social, or cultural borders. Representatives from Pittsburgh Human Rights Network at Global Solutions Pittsburgh, the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh Interfaith Impact Network will serve as panelists for our conversation.  Each representative will offer background on his or her organization's mission and on-going projects, reflect on local meanings of globalization, and entertain questions from students.  Food will be provided.

This conversation also will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about our Global Studies Internship course offered in both fall and spring semesters: 79-506 Global Studies Internship (9 units).
