The Magic Easel Research Team at CMU needs Participants for their Study!
We are inviting adults (ages 18 and older) to participate in a research study at Carnegie Mellon University. The study explores how different types of visual prompts influence creative drawing using a hybrid digital-analog tool called the Magic Easel.
This research will help develop better creativity support tools for educational environments and advance our understanding of how technology can enhance human creativity.
What you’ll do:
-
Participate in one 60-minute session on CMU’s campus
-
Complete three drawing activities: traditional drawing and two with our innovative Magic Easel system
-
Experience AI-generated visual prompts that respond to your environment
-
Share feedback through a brief survey and informal interview
-
No artistic experience or drawing skills required — all skill levels welcome!
You will receive a $15 Amazon gift card as compensation for your time.
Interested? Simply sign up through this calendly link or contact Lia lpurnama@andrew.
Flexible scheduling is also available upon request. All materials will be provided.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to creativity research!
