Dot and Mahir

September 11, 2025

Thank You, Dot Gracey! And Welcome, Mahir Nagersheth!

Thank You, Dot Gracey!

As we transitioned from the challenges of the post-pandemic era, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dot Gracey for her invaluable contributions to our office. Since September 2022, Dot has stepped in as a part-time staff member on an as-needed basis, bringing support and dedication that have greatly benefited our team.

Dot’s involvement with Osher has extended beyond her role as a staff member. Throughout her time with us, she has served on the Curriculum Committee both as a member and a team leader, showcasing her commitment to enhancing the quality of our programs. Additionally, her participation in the Study Leader Support Group has been instrumental in fostering a supportive environment for our study leaders.

As Dot steps down as a team leader and from the Study Leader Support Group, we are delighted that she plans to remain active on the Curriculum Committee. Her efforts have attracted many new study leaders, enriching our community and ensuring a bright future for our programs.

The staff deeply appreciates all that Dot has done for our office over the last three years. Her dedication, hard work, and positive spirit have left a lasting impact. We hope she continues to grace us with her presence and looks forward to stopping by to say hi when she comes in for classes.

Thank you, Dot, for everything! We are truly grateful for your contributions and wish you all the best in your continued journey.

Welcome, Mahir Nagersheth!

We would like to welcome our newest addition to the office staff, Mahir Nagersheth! As a graduate student at CMU, he will be with us for the school year. He writes:

"Hi, I’m Mahir, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon studying Information Systems Management with a specialization in Data Analytics . I come from India and love exploring how technology and people come together to make life better. I enjoy good conversations, shared stories, and the kind of wisdom you only discover when people connect across different walks of life."

Mahir will be working in the office on a part time schedule. Please say hello if you see him around the lounge or in the office!
