An Invitation from Milton Rubén Laufer
As the new Jack G. Buncher Head of the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon, I am pleased to share my first message with our alumni and friends and to invite you to a spectacular performance. The Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic opens its season on September 14 at Carnegie Music Hall, and I will be performing alongside our students as the soloist in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Plus you'll hear a fantastic program of music by 20th and 21st century American composers.
You can secure your tickets by following the ticket link below. As always, Carnegie Mellon and Pitt students, faculty and staff are eligible for free tickets with a promo code, or by showing a valid ID at the door.
If you are in town on Sunday the 14th, this is a performance you don't want to miss. If you're not able to join us in person, you can watch along live on YouTube. I look forward to sharing a memorable evening with you — the first of many!
Musically yours,
Milton Rubén Laufer
