Patron of the Arts Announces an Upcoming Event: a guided tour of Portal Gallery in Bakery Square
After a rather long hiatus, due (of course) to limitations of the pandemic, the Special Interest Group (SIG) known as Patron of the Arts is reactivating — and the committee is doing it in style. How better to relaunch our cultural and artistic focus than with a private tour of a brand new, local gallery!
You are invited to participate in a guided tour of Portal Gallery at Bakery Square. Guests will have a unique opportunity to meet renowned artist Nellie Lou Slagle as she personally guides us through this stunning new art space.
The exhibition currently on display is entitled “Connections.” This collaborative exhibit weaves together a family legacy of artistic expression and exploration. Curated by Michael Hertrich, the artwork of three generations from one family unit aims to share and compare perspectives on identity, community, and legacy.
Please mark your calendars for Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 7:00 pm and plan to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. Parking is available and free.
