Year One

The Year One program is designed to welcome new employees to the university and provide them with the information they need to successfully transition to their roles on campus. The program provides new employees with information about the university's mission and purpose, policies and expectations of new employees, programs and resources available, and opportunities for new employees to interact with one another. The Year One program also supports campus employers through education on employee transitions and onboarding efforts, as well as resources available to enrich the new employee experience.

New employees are encouraged to participate in New Hire Orientation, a central component of the Year One program, within their first 30 days at Carnegie Mellon.
