Another Successful United Way Campaign

CMU’s United Way campaign ended on March 22 raising over $137,000.

The work of United Way never stops, so these donations will be put to use in our local community to meet basic needs, move our neighbors toward financial stability and help area youth build success in school and life. So, thank you to all who donated for making a difference.

Also, thank you to all those who worked behind the scenes to make this campaign a success starting with our campaign co-chairs, Jim Garrett and Angela Blanton.

The Office of Human Resources sponsors the annual campaign and leads the efforts via a committee focused on building awareness through communications and campus-wide events like the Food Truck and Jersey Mike’s days. The campaign committee also supports the work of the team captains.

The team captains mirror the work of the campaign committee for their individual colleges and departments. This dispersed model of promoting the campaign has led to a dramatic increase in donations.

Finally, while this year’s campaign has ended, your ability to donate has not. Visit the United Way Campaign page for more information about United Way and how you can make a one-time or recurring donation.
