Participants Complete 2023 Administrative Professionals Program

A group of twenty CMU employees completed the Administrative Professionals Program on April 19, 2023. This was the second cohort to complete the 12-week specialized training program since it piloted in spring 2022.

The program content was developed in partnership with the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) specifically for CMU employees in the administrative support and coordination job family. Training sessions covered the technical and professional skills required of administrative professionals at all experience levels.

Our Continuing Partnership with CCAC

There are plans to offer the program again in 2024. The Office of Human Resources also continues to partner with CCAC to provide Microsoft Excel training including foundational and advanced courses. Because of the popularity of the sessions offered in the spring and the strong assessment results, OHR will sponsor additional sessions later this year with priority given to those who expressed interest but could not be accommodated.
