Oracle 101 Course

This course is one of the pre-requisites to gain access to any of the core Oracle Financial applications (excludes Procurement Card and Expense Reports). For new users, this is the gateway into the Oracle Financial Applications. Once through, you can branch out to the various modules required for your business responsibilities. For current users, this class gives you the opportunity to refresh your navigation skills and system knowledge. The information presented in this on-line course is the same information that is presented in the Oracle 101 hands-on classroom course. Successfully completing either the classroom course or this on-line course will satisfy the system access pre-requisite. You must pass a certification quiz in the on-line course for acceptance as a pre-requisite. Once you have completed the pre-requisite courses (which includes this course and the CMU Finance Fundamentals course), you can enroll in module-specific courses (e.g. General Ledger, Purchasing) which will provide instructions on processing transactions and/or running reports. After completing the necessary Oracle training, you will be eligible to request access to the system.
