Outside the Classroom

Project Olympus PROBEs

At the heart of Olympus are its PROBEs (PRoblem-Oriented Business Explorations) and their proof-of-concept explorations that enable faculty and students to investigate the commercial potential of their cutting-edge research and ideas and stimulate innovation. A key goal is to augment and accelerate the process of moving basic research and great ideas to development and business stages, with licensing, spin-offs, start-ups and corporate collaboration and partnering.

Start Smart Legal Workshops

An initiative of Project Olympus and the Innovation Practice Institute of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, the Start Smart program offers educational seminars and workshops that teach entrepreneurs and startups in the Pittsburgh region the basics of business law and business formation.
