Looking to get involved?

We are always searching for talented professionals to help guide our current students toward success. As Carnegie Mellon alumni, you understand the academic atmosphere that students are in, yet you also know the professional Civil Engineering environment.

There are various ways you can get involved with CEE. Attend an event or volunteer your time and expertise. We rely on you to strengthen the CEE community.

If you live near Pittsburgh, consider speaking at a student group meeting. Our students can gain a lot of insight by hearing about your career story. We have both a chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a chapter of Chi Epsilon, The Civil Engineering Honor Society.

Internships and Career Opportunities

Our CEE alumni network spans hundreds of different companies and industries. Internship opportunities that you make possible are extremely important for our students.

As alumni, you not only give the department greatly appreciated financial support, but you also help our current students to gain experience through internships, and network and build their own company connections.

Many new graduates end up working within our current alumni network. These placements would not be possible without your continuing involvement and support.
