Tuition Refund Policy
Tepper School tuition is refunded 100 percent to students who withdraw by the course drop deadline.* After the course drop deadline, tuition is non-refundable and remains charged at 100 percent. This tuition refund policy is separate from the calculation used to cancel and return federal loan funds when students withdraw. See the section “Enrollment: Impact on Loans” on our Federal Direct Education Loans page for more information.
* This refund policy does not apply to residents of Maryland participating in programs delivered via distance education. Carnegie Mellon University’s tuition adjustment policy applies to tuition refunds for Maryland residents in these programs.
Some course materials are included in the cost of tuition. An opt-out (pdf) is available by course.
