Please Welcome our newest Osher at CMU Board Members: Jan Hawkins and Anne Semmler!
We would like to welcome Jan Hawkins and Anne Semmler as the newest Board Members of Osher at CMU. They joined the Osher at CMU Board of Directors on July 1, 2026 for a three year term from 2026 to 2029.
Jan Hawkins
Jan Hawkins is joining the board for a second time. She previously held the title of President of the Osher at CMU Board of Directors. Known for her positive outlook and passion for lifelong learning, she brings with her 33 years of experience from a career as a Westinghouse executive. Jan is passionate aboutwriting, travel, and community engagement.
Anne Semmler
Anne Semmler is delighted to serve on the Osher at CMU Board in addition to being an active member, Study Leader, and member of the Study Leader Support Group. She thinks Osher classes are an absolute blast! She also enjoy training and volunteering with the Phipps Conservatory Botanical Illustration Program, Audubon Society of Western PA, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Program, Penn Woods West Trout Unlimited, 3MJC (Moraine, McConnells Mills and Jennings Commission), and the Calligraphy Guild Pittsburgh. She retired in 2021 from Dentons Cohen & Grigsby as an immigration paralegal.
