*HAPPENING MONDAY!* Osher at CMU presents a lecture: "The Dobbs Decision: Causes And Consequence" by Susan Hansen

Monday, March 11th at 1pm on Zoom
Sign up for the lecture by logging into the registration website and registering for ID: 5044.

In June 2022 the U. S. Supreme Court reversed 50 years of precedents and in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, overturned Roe v. Wade. This lecture will review the legal justifications for the Dobbs decision and the dissent and critiques of that decision from both pro-life and pro-choice perspectives. We will then consider the consequences of Dobbs for public opinion, state policies, and voting and elections.

Susan B. Hansen, Ph.D., taught classes in political science and women's studies at the University of Pittsburgh for over 30 years. She is the author of four books, including The Politics of Sex (2014), and over 40 articles and book reviews in scholarly journals.
