The CMU International Film Festival presents an online screening of "Sorry We Missed You"

Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, is the film which was supposed to open the 2020 CMU IFF Faces of HOME on March 19th. The pandemic put those plans on hold but the organizers have created an inventive opportunity for anyone who would like to simulate the opening-night experience. It’s called “Almost Like the Real Thing” and will take place on the evening of May 23rd
 
The CMU International Film Festival will be hosting an online screening of Ken Loach's award-winning British film "Sorry We Missed You" between NOW - May 23, 2020.  On May 23, we will be having an event called “Almost like the Real Thing” which will include Opening Remarks by the acclaimed British filmmaker Ken Loach, film screening and a LIVE discussion on Zoom led by Roger Rouse with special guest Lisa Frank, Executive Vice President for Strategic Campaigns at SEIU Healthcare PA.

Sorry We Missed You is a vital film for the current moment, exploring the stories of frontline workers – a delivery man, home care nurse, and their children – and the urgent problems they face.  
 
Additionally, 50% of the Festival’s proceeds will be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
