Dear Incoming Graduate Students,

On Monday, June 29, the Pre-Arrival Webinar Series will feature the Office of International Education (OIE) in a webinar called “International Student Guidance & Resources Overview.” This webinar will take place from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Please register with your CMU email address at this linkIf you do not receive a registration confirmation, please check your spam folder.

Webinar details:

Executive Director Linda Gentile and the Office of International Education (OIE) team will share key resources for new international students. This session will highlight essential information for students and their families, including visa application procedures, evolving travel requirements, and practical guidance for navigating the transition to the CMU campus. The session will also provide an overview of the Welcome and Mandatory SEVIS Registration sessions that take place during the University-Wide New Graduate Student Orientation. The goal is to equip students with clear, up-to-date information so they can begin their graduate experience prepared and confident.

We hope you are able to join us for the webinar, where there will also be an opportunity to submit your questions live. We will strive to answer the most requested topics and then work in various ways to follow-up on those we may not have time to address.

Sincerely,

Dr. Amy Burkert, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives

Dr. Maggie Sikora, Director for Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs

Margo Littell, Program & Operations Coordinator for Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs
