NAPP Step 2: Administrative Implementation Phase

Status: Required process and materials submission from academic department or program
Timing: 3 to 6 months in advance of initial program offering
Introduction: 

The purpose of NAPP Step 2 is to provide accurate administrative implementation of the new academic program; the outcome will be the assignment of the Academic Program Code by the University Registrar’s Office and implementation of other necessary academic and administrative processes. A prior NAPP Step 1 consultation will ensure a smooth implementation process in NAPP Step 2.  

Note: A department or program may not advertise, recruit, admit or enroll any students until the program has successfully completed the NAPP Step 2: Administrative & Implementation Phase and notification has been received in NAPP Step 3.

Next Steps:
  1. Complete NAPP Step 1 before Napp Step 2: Administrative Implementation Phase
  2. Review, prepare and complete NAPP Step 2 forms and support materials
  3. Submit signed and completed NAPP Step 2 form and supporting materials to the University Registrar, Warner Hall A19
    • Respond to follow-up or clarifying questions promptly, accurately and thoroughly
  4. Await notification in NAPP Step 3 including the assignment of the Academic Program Code from the University Registrar
