My work focuses on genre theory, language ideologies, and DEI in curriculum and assessment to bring meaningful experiences to learners. My past experiences have given me many opportunities to mentor students, develop and teach courses, and collaborate with programs and offices in a variety of disciplines to actualize equitable and just occasions for all learners to voice and contribute to knowledge and community building.

While at CMU, I have taught English 76-100 and 76-101 as well as the 76-302/702 practicum. In Modern Languages, I will teach 82-795. I also work with the Robotics Institute Summer Scholars program and am involved with Educational Diplomacy initiatives. Additionally, I held the position of Director of Communication and Language Support in the Student Academic Success Center. I am currently working in both the Modern Languages and English Departments and truly enjoy the interactions I have with amazing students and colleagues from whom I learn every day.

When I'm not reading, I enjoy gardening, petting other people's dogs, and hiking.
