Prospective students

The university encourages prospective students to visit our campus, talk with our program coordinator, or talk with alumni. The H&SS Academic Advisory Center can also help you with the application process, and facilitates campus visits, meeting with advisors, meeting with faculty, and special admissions events.

In the meantime, you might be interested in our curriculum page, which has all the requirements for the majors and minors that we offer. If you're planning your schedule or looking for ideas for the upcoming semester, we also provide a list of courses that fulfill program requirements.

Finally, we also encourage you to read the Welcome Message from our program director, Kiron Skinner, the Dean of the College of Humanities & Social Sciences John Lehoczky, and Traci Sebastian, our academic advisor.

International Relations & Politics is an outstanding program. We hope you'll come join us!

Current Carnegie Mellon students should contact the International Relations advisor or the H&SS Academic Advisory Center to discuss the IR major or minor.

For more information on applying to the International Relations program, click to our "How to Apply" page, or contact the IR advisor.
