How Machine Learning Enables Computers to Think Faster and Work Smarter
Researchers, including Benjamin Moseley, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, presented their paper at the International Conference for Machine Learning. The study explored whether the Ford-Fulkerson algorithm — which computes the maximum flow in a network — can work faster by using machine learning.

The Tepper School’s R. Ravi and Brown University Co-Authors Receive Distinguished Test of Time Award
R. Ravi, professor at the Tepper School, received the Test of Time Award at the Annual ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing. Ravi is one of the inventors of the AKR algorithm, which helps create efficient networks at a low cost while meeting specific requirements.
