Carnegie Mellon University

Summer Studies

Division of Enrollment Services

In order to ensure the health and safety of our campus community amid the COVID-19 outbreak, summer courses are being delivered remotely on all U.S.-based campus locations through August 1, 2020. Further details are available in Provost Jim Garrett’s March 31 message to the campus community.

Welcome to Your (Virtual) CMU Summer

We are so glad you’ve joined us in making summer 2020 a CMU Summer! With the move to remote instruction, this summer session will look a little different than it has in years past, but with exciting and enriching courses being conducted remotely across our many campus locations, and numerous virtual enrichment and support services available to students, you can still explore all that Carnegie Mellon has to offer. If you are not a CMU degree-seeking student but are attending as a visiting student this summer, you can learn more about our visiting/non-degree program here.

A Digital Pittsburgh Adventure

Whether you’re located in the city or experiencing it from a distance, the city of Pittsburgh has so much to offer! Summer students can explore remote offerings from the many local museums and nonprofits. We’ll be posting updates about remote activities all summer long on our Welcome to (Virtual) Summer webpage, so stay tuned!
