Message From the Pre-Law Advisor:

Welcome to Carnegie Mellon University’s Pre-Law Program, which is designed to help students and alumni from any CMU major, school and college with exploring, planning for and applying to law school. It doesn’t matter if you are a first-semester freshman, a recent graduate or well into your professional career. If law is an interest for you, it’s never too early or too late to network and learn about this possibility, and how to explore and pursue it.

As the pre-law advisor, I am here to begin this conversation with you, guide you through resources and processes and ultimately help you make a decision—and create a path—that’s right for you.

When registering for the pre-law program, you will be placed on the program’s email distribution list. This is the easiest way to stay informed about events, opportunities and activities related to the Pre-Law Program.

I hope that you will find both the program and the information on our site useful as you consider pursuing law school as the next step in your career.

Sincerely,

Joseph E. Devine
