Why is Osher at CMU doing a membership drive?
Many of you have heard in class, or seen one of our tri-folds, about us bringing in new members! A question we get quite often is: why are we trying to reach out to potential new members? We hope these answers clear up some confusion.
- Because many of our current members shifted to only taking courses on Zoom, we are able to accommodate more members who would like to come in-person.
- Due to COVID, we have seen a small drop in membership renewals and more spaces have opened to bring in new members right away.
While we currently are in a position of welcoming new members without there being a waiting list for membership, we are reaching out to the community and entice people to join our wonderful, stimulating, and diverse program.
