An Ode to Jeffery Holst

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of one of our Board of Director members, Jeffrey Holst. The contributions made by Jeff to our organization were significant and he was a friend to many. He served as a director since 2016 and was active on a number of committees, including Project 4.0 for planning of our new space in Cyert Hall,  the membership/social committee, and running the Floured Hands ZIG, among many other activities. Jeff had a warm and giving heart. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Barbara, and to his children and grandchildren.

A Tribute to Jeff Holst by John Olmsted

Oh, Death, this is not fair, for you to act
To take Jeff Holst away so callously.
We’d plans for him, and he had plans for us
That your rude theft disrupts maliciously.
Who now will speak to keep our Board on task,
Reminding us of what needs done and what needs not?
Who now will energize our quest for funds
With great ideas for projects yet to come?
Jeff Holst, if you can hear our plaintive grief,
Know this: you will be sorely missed.
