New Course: Be A Design Client For A CMU Creative Electronics Course (IDeATe Robert Zacharias)

An interdisciplinary course offered for CMU undergrads called “Introduction to Physical Computing” focuses on building useful interactive devices for older people. Osher participants serve as design clients for the class. Osher students will meet with undergrad students for a total of four sessions over the course of the semester, as the CMU students work through stages of ideation, design, prototyping, and final critique. The semester culminates in each Osher design client getting a custom-built functioning piece of helpful interactive technology which is theirs to keep.
