An update on ZIG - Floured Hands

By Jeff Holst

What started as four curious Osher Members has developed into an enthusiastic group of 10 bread bakers who are having a lot of fun and learning how to bake bread, rolls, and other baked goods in the “Floured Hands” ZIG.  Classes so far have included challah, refrigerator dough/rolls/cinnamon rolls, rugelach, and scones.  Upcoming classes will feature cornbread, cranberry walnut bread and French bread; with more interesting and delicious recipes on the horizon.  Classes are taught by volunteer members of the ZIG.

Using Zoom for the classes allows Members to watch the recipes being made; provides a forum for answering questions; and a way to pick up new tips and techniques.  Perhaps most importantly, it allows Members to see and connect with others in these times of needing to stay home.
