S3 Persistence Screens: Improvements & Recommended Actions

As part of the S3 MyCommunity project, new Persistence Management screens in the S3 Admin Console now offer improved information about students who are separated from Carnegie Mellon.

To encourage students' returns to CMU for the spring 2021 semester and to support persistence, the University Registrar's Office recommends that associate and assistant deans, as well as authorized Student Affairs professionals, may want to use the Persistence Management screens as a helpful tool to review and contact students in prioritized persistence cohorts (sophomores on leave, juniors, etc.).

A condensed S3 Persistence Management User Guide (pdf) has been created to help with this process and provide more information about the screen updates.

While the majority of the updates and features were included in the November S3 release, an additional set of improvements are planned for release in early December 2020. At that time, a more detailed user guide will be published.

We will reach out again next month when the additional updates to the screens are made and the expanded user guide is ready. Feel free to visit the S3 Project webpage for additional user guides and follow the S3 social channels (linked below) for the latest updates. Questions and comments may be submitted using the Feedback link at the top of your S3 Admin Console.

On behalf of Enrollment Services, the University Registrar's Office and the entire S3 team, we appreciate your continued partnership and adaptability, and we look forward to providing support and receiving your feedback as you begin to navigate the new features.
