Research Lab
The CMSAC Research Lab is a group of faculty and students developing cutting-edge approaches in sports analytics spanning a wide range of problems, including:
- Seminal work on measuring player-performance across a variety of sports, such as American football, soccer, and hockey.
- Integrating statistics, machine learning, and AI techniques for modeling player movements and predicting within-play outcomes with player-tracking data.
- Nationally recognized research selected as finalists in the NFL’s Big Data Bowl and invited for featured talks at major statistics in sports and sports analytics conferences.
