Bio

Chiara Repetti-Ludlow is a postdoctoral research fellow in the CMU Neuroscience Institute working with Prof. Barbara Shinn-Cunningham and Prof. Christina Bjorndahl. Prior to coming to CMU, she received her Ph.D. in Linguistics at NYU and her B.A. from the department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences at Brown University. Her research focuses on how speech sounds are learned and produced, and how processing constraints can lead to language change. To address this topic, she uses a variety of acoustic, statistical, and neurolinguistic methods, and she has worked with a variety of populations, including speakers of understudied languages, children, and individuals with aphasia. In her free time she enjoys climbing, embroidery, and exploring new places. You can check out her website for her CV and more information about her research.
