Bio

Austin is a PhD student in Cognitive Neuroscience at CMU. He received his B.S in Neuroscience and Biology from Brandeis University. After graduating, he worked with Dr. Jonathan Peelle on examining the impact of cognitive aging and reward on speech perception. Currently, he is interested in understanding the role of perceptual training in speech processing.  When not in the lab, Austin loves discovering new coffee shops, playing tennis, and catching up on the latest episodes of whatever show he is addicted to at the moment.
