Erin began working in the laboratory in Spring 2018 as an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in neuroscience. With the help of the lab, she wrote an undergraduate senior thesis on the effect of native language on tone detection in noise. She has been working in the lab as a research assistant since graduating in Spring 2020, primarily focused on conducting online studies. Her main interests in auditory science revolve around language acquisition and the effects of language experience on speech processing. In Erin's free time, she enjoys yoga and cooking.
