Students Create Inclusive Programming for UPMC Children's Hospital

Students in Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Languages, Cultures & Applied Linguistics are using their foreign language and cultural competency skills for good in a new collaboration with UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP). Kiyono Fujinaga-Gordon, an assistant teaching professor of Japanese studies, and her students are among those creating content for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s closed-circuit television channel from the hospital’s Dream Big Studio. The television programs air throughout the hospital for patients, their families and loved ones during their stays at CHP. See the students in action and learn more about this partnership:
