Students’ End-of-Semester Projects Tackle Real-World Challenges

Many courses throughout the fall 2018 semester culminated in capstone or final projects that focused on innovation, creativity and problem-solving.

Our Ethics, History & Public Policy Capstone project examined the sever impact of landslides in Allegheny County, and students in David Danks’ course AI, Society and Humanity presented final projects on the challenges and opportunities provided by current or near-future technology, as well as policy recommendations to respond to their potential negative impacts.
