Don Michel (E’90) knows what it takes to excel in varsity collegiate sports. The marketing engineer for Westinghouse is a former CMU varsity golfer. To this day, he remains a “die-hard” Tartans supporter—so much so that he is the stat keeper for the football and basketball teams. It’s no wonder he’s already a member of a new initiative: The Tartan Athletics Club. Among the perks are exclusive updates on the varsity teams and invitations to sponsored events ranging from a New York City basketball reception to football tailgates across the country. Anyone can become a member by donating to the Tartan Fund. Proceeds benefit CMU athletics.
