Graduate Student Assembly (GSA)-Student Government - Carnegie Mellon University

We are the Graduate Student Assembly

The Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) is the branch of student government that represents all graduate students at Carnegie Mellon. In addition to working with other members of student government, university administration, and external advocacy groups, we plan a variety of social events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for emails from your departmental representative with information about GSA events and initiatives.

GSA is always looking for feedback and comments about graduate student life at Carnegie Mellon. Feel free to contact your representative or any member of the executive committee with comments or concerns.

If you're interested in joining GSA, contact your department rep. GSA representative positions are filled on a rolling basis, as vacancies open.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event!

Get In Touch with GSA

Join GSA on Facebook so that our group can reach out to all of our CMU grads with upcoming events, important news, and whatever else we decide to spread the word on, on what we still believe is the "required" social network. Or follow GSA on Twitter for those live updates that you need streamed with even more immediacy to your twitter client, your phone, or direct into your bloodstream.

GSA also maintains a d-list you can subscribe to called GSA-Happenings. This is a weekly e-mail full of events that are happening each weekend in Pittsburgh. Some will be Carnegie Mellon or GSA related, but many are community events which we think may be of interest to graduate students. Subscribe to GSA-Happenings here.
